The Wilson Center on Science and Justice at Duke Law has been engaged with the Durham DA’s office on a number of projects to help inform criminal justice reforms on issues such as cash bail and plea bargaining
Duke’s Environmental Law and Policy Clinic worked with nonprofits to design the fiscal and regulatory framework for implementing a new state rule requiring testing for and removal of lead in drinking and cooking water in childcare centers and pre-K programs
Free legal clinics for the community offered by Duke Law School. Last year, law volunteers provided 25,423 hours of public service to individuals and organizations seeking pro bono services.
